Where are you from? How did you end up in LA?

I’m from Miami, Florida, and ended up in LA looking for adventure!

So what’s your deal with music?

I’ve always felt a deep connection to music, and believe strongly that really great music can enhance any experience. Music has the power to transform not so great things too. Even when you’re stuck in the worst traffic, when the right song comes on your mood can shift! So powerful!

If you were stranded on a desert island with only one album, what would it be?

At the moment, I would say Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys.

How did you get into yoga?

Initially I grew up with it because of hippie parents that have yoga practices, but never felt fully connected to yoga until my first Vinyasa flow class about 4 years ago.

Describe your yoga teaching style in 3 words:

Fun, balanced, and positive

When curating a 3 Chords Setlist, what kind of music typically inspires you? Describe the vibe we will get in your classes:

Anything from the Beastie Boys to Black Sabbath. I have love for all genres of music from death metal to disco. Grew up listening to a lot of motown and reggae so I’m firmly rooted in those genres. Classes will be sweaty and challenging, but with lots of options for experienced yogis and newbies alike.

If you could hang in the studio with any famous musician in the history of ever, who would it be?

Probably Kate Bush. She’s so cool. Hounds of Love from start to finish is one of my favorites of all time.

Why does 3 Chords rock?

Yoga practice is all about shaping the body in different ways and breathing and smiling through it.  At 3 Chords you’ll breathe, move and maybe smile to a consciously curated soundtrack.

Where are you from? How did you end up in LA?

I'm from Cincinnati, OH. LA became home after I graduated from USC. Fight On!

So what’s your deal with music?

Music is like therapy. It can take you through any emotion and any mood. Im connected to the raw creativity and passion artists pour into projects. You feel the energy.

If you were stranded on a desert island with only one album, what would it be?

Tough one… Michael Jackson Thriller. The album has a nice wave of energy from start to finish.

How did you get into yoga?

A friend introduced me to hot yoga to add variety to my workouts, which mostly included runnings and cycling. After a month of resistance, I gave the classes a serious open mind and my body felt it. I knew that feeling was something that I wanted to continue to explore and here we are almost 4 years later.

Describe your yoga teaching style in 3 words:

Patient, Strong, Dynamic

When curating a 3 Chords Setlist, what kind of music typically inspires you? Describe the vibe we will get in your classes:

I like the feels and I love a good lesson dropped in. I am inspired by authenticity and energy that opens eyes to the universe, to something outside of ourselves… or is it within?! Lately, I've been really digging deep into artists like J. Cole and Solange. I love finding the stories and inspiration behind some of today's newer hip hop and r&b artists.

If you could hang in the studio with any famous musician in the history of ever, who would it be?

Sade.

Where are you from? How did you end up in LA?

I spent the first half of my life on the east coast in Washington D.C. but Los Angeles is home. It’s a place of magnetism! A dynamic and ever changing muse for my creativity.

So what’s your deal with music?

I don’t remember silence ever being a thing in my house growing up. My father was always playing some record. Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Aerosmith, Bowie, every song was a story an epic journey through sound and wonderment.

If you were stranded on a desert island with only one album, what would it be?

The Beatles - White Album

How did you get into yoga?

When I was 16 I started attending weekly yoga classes in my apartment building. For years, the draw was the natural high after savasana. Now, I teach and attend for the entire practice! The breath, the movement, the transitions, the release!

Describe your yoga teaching style in 3 words:

Nurturing, Playful, Musical

When curating a 3 Chords Setlist, what kind of music typically inspires you? Describe the vibe we will get in your classes:

Everything psy·che·del·ic from the Doors to Tame Impala, soul funk from James Brown to Jungle. Blues rock from Santana to Alabama Shakes.

If you could hang in the studio with any famous musician in the history of ever, who would it be?

David Bowie...A collector and creator of personas who transformed their expressions into full length albums. He never attached himself to any specific story, but instead created new worlds and space age dreams for his listeners to explore.

Why does 3 Chords rock?

3 Chords creates an immersive musical experience for your yoga flow. You’ll be moving, breathing, and learning about all things musical to inspire your own practice and creativity. The team rocks! They do what they love and love what they do. Did I mention the Kombucha Bar on tap? What more could you ask for?
